Global Transformation Recovery and Rollout

Recovering a multi-supplier transformation and establishing a repeatable B2C rollout model across more than 40 markets.

Context

The transformation environment

AkzoNobel was expanding from its traditional B2B model into a digitised B2C customer experience. The transformation spanned digital commerce, ERP, CRM, mobile applications, customer platforms and international rollout across EMEA and APAC.

The challenge

What had to be resolved

Multiple suppliers and onshore and offshore teams were delivering connected components without sufficient integrated control.

The B2C proposition required new customer journeys, operating capabilities, data flows and retailer integration alongside established B2B operations.

More than 40 markets required coordinated localisation, dependency management, readiness and governance visibility.

The response

How the transformation was integrated

  1. 01

    Reconstruct delivery reality

Re-established the programme baseline across technology, suppliers, costs, dependencies and market commitments, then reset governance and accountability.

  2. 02

    Mobilise the B2C transformation

Led discovery and transformation planning connecting web, mobile, commerce, CRM, ERP, customer data and operational change around the end-to-end customer journey.

  3. 03

    Create repeatable global rollout control

Established integrated localisation, sequencing, dependency and readiness controls supporting rollout across more than 40 EMEA and APAC markets.

  4. 04

    Deliver AI-enabled customer experience

Supported the Dulux Room Visualiser, enabling customers to upload room or exterior images, explore colour choices in context, create accurate shopping lists and connect selections to retailers or B2C checkout. The proposition also integrated with Oculus Rift and contemporary environment-simulation technology.
